As we are constantly fixated on striving for perfection and things anew. We tend to neglect and appreciate nuances of the worn, imperfection and impermanence.
In my collaboration with Melissa Shoes, I conceptualised a series of artefacts in the spirit of Wabi-sabi, capturing ephemeral moments that we hastily overlook.
With the soap artworks, I collected used and expired soaps and recreated them into soap sculptures playing on the different pastel shades, textures and forms. And a series of fragmented concrete wall plants using only basic materials like raw concrete powder and water.
